He is being heavily linked with a summer transfer to Spurs and although a lot of rumours won’t materialise between now and September, this is one that possibly may.
Earlier this week, the wife of the Atalanta midfielder started following Antonio Conte on Instagram in what was a decent hint that a move to North London could be on the cards.
And his wife, Roksana, has just dropped another clue.
Writing on her Instagram stories, she revealed that relocating away from Bergamo was a possibility this summer.
She wrote: “Guys, we bought our house in Bergamo two years ago, only now it’s over but we moved. Slowly I’m running out of boxes. Bergamo is our home, we don’t have another home, but football and life are united. For me there is nothing more important than family and of Ruslan’s career. If he can’t stay at Atalanta he has to find another solution. Of course it’s a great sin for us, but it’s life in football. He has to think about his future as a professional footballer.”
The translation from Italian to English isn’t rock solid but the jist of her post certainly appears to be suggesting that a physical move away from their home is on the cards.
According to Tutto Atalanta, Tottenham are ‘ready to close’ a deal to sign the 29-year-old and based on his wife following Conte on Instagram, and this latest post, well a transfer definitely appears to be on the cards.
