Le Parisien have reported that Liverpool have in talks over signing Inacio and are trying to figure out how much it could cost to complete the transfer.
Defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the 21-year-old Portugal international centre-back.
Portuguese giants Sporting are willing to sell Inacio, but they will want at least €45 million (£40 million) for the youngster.

HITC Verdict: Potentially exciting signing
In our view, Goncalo Inacio would be a very good and promising signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The defender is one of the best young players around, and we believe that he would make Liverpool better at the back.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners do need to reinforce their backline, and for £40 million, Inacio would be a good addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
That Manchester United and Newcastle United are also keen on the Portuguese defender shows just how highly he is rated in the footballing community.
Inacio has made 23 starts and six substitute appearances in the Portuguese league this season.
The 21-year-old has given three assists in those games.
The defender has made five starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa League for Sporting, scoring one goal in the process.
