AC Milan are interested in signing Pape Matar Sarr on loan from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Italian champions Milan and Premier League club Tottenham have held talks over a potential loan transfer this summer.
Milan want to sign Japhet Tanganga from Spurs, but the Italian giants have also held discussions with Tottenham over a potential loan move for 19-year-old Senegal international midfielder Sarr.

Loan exit makes sense
In our view, it would make sense for Tottenham Hotspur to send Pape Matar Sarr out on loan to AC Milan in the summer transfer window.
Spurs head coach Antonio Conte raved about the teenager this week, saying that he “will be the future for Tottenham”.
However, the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss suggested that Tottenham could send the teenager out on loan.
After all, Tottenham are well stocked in midfield.
Oliver Skipp, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur are the main options for Conte in midfield.
Milan won the Serie A title last season, and the Rossoneri will play in the UEFA Champions League.
Sarr would grow as a player at the Italian giants.
Stats
Tottenham signed Sarr from Metz in the summer of 2021 for £14.6m plus add-ons (Sky Sports).
The Senegal international midfielder spent last season on loan at Metz and did well.
Sarr made 22 starts and 11 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 last season.
The youngster scored one goal and gave three assists in those games.
