Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has spoken highly of Pape Matar Sarr in Football.London.
Sarr has been working with Conte in pre-season, and the Tottenham boss has been impressed by the 19-year-old Senegal international midfielder.
The former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss has said that Sarr is the future of Tottenham.
However, Conte has suggested that the midfielder could leave Tottenham on loan.
Spurs signed Sarr from Metz in the summer of 2021 for £14.6m plus add-ons (Sky Sports).
The Senegal international midfielder spent last season on loan at Metz.
The teenager made 22 starts and 11 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 last season.
Sarr scored one goal and gave three assists in those games.

Antonio Conte on Tottenham Hotspur’s Pape Matar Sarr
Conte told Football.London about Sarr: “About Sarr, he’s a young player. A good prospect. He will be the future for Tottenham.
“Together, with Sarr we also have other young players and we will try with the club to take the best decision for them.
“It can be very important to take the best decision about whether to stay in the squad, to stay at Tottenham or go out on loan and play with regularity every game and continue to improve.”
Stay or leave Spurs on loan?
We think that Tottenham Hotspur could send Pape Matar Sarr out on loan again in the summer transfer window.
As Conte notes, Sarr is a good prospect and is the future of Tottenham.
Tottenham have a very good and strong midfield department now, and Conte has options.
Now, of course, Sarr could be a good option for Conte next season, especially as Tottenham are in the UEFA Champions League, but we think that it is very likely that the North London club will send the midfielder out on loan again this summer.
