How much did Tottenham pay for Yves Bissouma?
That’s what some Spurs supporters might be wondering this afternoon following a fairly poor midfield display.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder struggled this afternoon in Tottenham’s visit to Brentford.
And on Boxing Day, Jamie O’Hara certainly didn’t pull any punches in his assessment of Bissouma’s first-half display.
Here’s what O’Hara wrote on Twitter about the Ivory Coast international:

How much did Tottenham pay for Yves Bissouma?
According to Eurosport, Spurs shelled out a hefty £35 million to sign the 26-year-old – who has been impressing Conte lately – last summer.
The Ivorian-born Mali international had established himself as one of the Premier League’s best midfielders under Graham Potter, someone destined to join an elite club.
But since joining Tottenham, things haven’t gone to plan really.
That’s because this was only Bissouma’s seventh Premier League start of the campaign.
He has been, for the most part, a squad player behind Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur – who is sidelined – in the pecking order really.
He is, however, a wonderful footballer on his day and long term, that £35 million could and probably will prove to be money well spent, even if statistics illustrate he has declined since moving to North London [HITC Sport].
