Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react after Castore released a new third kit for the Gers to wear throughout the 2021/22 campaign.
What’s the story?
Well, it’s safe to say the Ibrox faithful don’t like the new strip.
You can’t really blame them – it’s hideous.
Castore have attempted to remake the club’s iconic purple shirt worn in the 1994/95 campaign.
It is described as one of the rarest collectors items a Rangers fan can own in the club’s announcement.
However, Castore have done that famous jersey a real disservice with their lilac version.
Also, it is now immediately associated with bad memories after Rangers lost to Malmo while wearing it.
Castore have really let Rangers down

Apart from the home shirt, which stands out thanks to the bright, white trim and eye-catching yellow features, Castore have let Rangers down.
The Ibrox faithful were also left disappointed with Castore’s away kit, which is a red and black strip with similar yellow features.
On the club’s 150th anniversary, we feel Castore could’ve done more to bring back some historic shirts and modernise them.

Of course, they have tried to do just that with the 1994/95 strip, although the execution of the idea has been miserable.
Let’s see what the Rangers fans on Twitter thought of Castore’s latest effort…
