Some Liverpool fans on social media are far from happy after it was reported that the Reds deal to sign Ibrahima Konate has become complicated.
It was thought that Liverpool had a straightforward route to signing Konate, but as ever, things aren’t always as simple as they seem.
The Reds remain keen on signing Konate, but the problem is that RB Leipzig want his release clause to be paid in a lump sum, while the Reds would prefer a deal that involved staggered payments.
The Times report that the deal isn’t dead in the water, but this latest update has cast doubt upon whether or not this move with go through.
As you can imagine, Liverpool supporters had plenty to say about this news, and they weren’t very happy.
Indeed, fans were devastated to hear that they may not sign Konate, and once again, anger was pointed towards the club’s owners.
One fan even stated that they’re now going to support another club, and while that’s an extreme reaction, we can understand the frustration.
