Everton’s search for a right back has guided them to Scotland once again – this time for Aberdeen teenager Calvin Ramsay.
The Toffees were once again linked with new right backs over the summer. Denzel Dumfries was a popular name, but he joined Inter Milan instead.
Everton then looked towards Scotland, making a couple of bids for Rangers defender Nathan Patterson. Unfortunately for Everton, Rangers said no.
Everton turn to Aberdeen ace Ramsay
The latest Everton right back rumour surrounds another Scottish this talent. This time it’s Aberdeen ace Ramsay.
The Scottish Sun claim that Everton are interested in signing Ramsay in January, having recently scouted him in action for the Dons.
Ramsay, 18, was born in Aberdeen and has come up through the ranks with his hometown club. Ramsay has been shining this season, becoming one of Scottish football’s top young talents.

Aberdeen fans react
Everton fans may not know too much about Ramsay, but Aberdeen fans are far from happy with these rumours.
Some believe that Ramsay is the best young place in Scotland, and won’t be any cheaper than Rangers ace Patterson.
Others were telling Everton to ‘jog on’, even feeling that this would be too early for Ramsay to make such a move.
