Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale has said on Ben Foster’s YouTube channel that Leeds United youngster Illan Meslier is the best goalkeeper he has played against.
Ramsdale made the comments about Meslier when asked by Watford goalkeeper Foster about the best goalkeeper he has faced so far.
Arsenal played against Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Premier League on December 18.
The Gunners won 4-1.
Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale was impressed by Mesiler’s performance between the posts for Leeds.
Ramdale said: “Off the top of my head, I would give it to Meslier, against Leeds. Could have been 6-0 after half time.”

Illan Meslier is a Leeds gem
In our opinion, Meslier is a Leeds gem and is one of the best young goalkeepers in the Premier League.
And Ramsdale’s comments prove that.
Yes, Illan Meslier does make mistakes and is not perfect, but we cannot deny that he is a very good goalkeeper.
And he is only 21.
Leeds are a massive club, and it is not easy for any 21-year-old to play week in and week out for the Elland Road outfit.
Meslier, who cost Leeds £5 million in transfer fees (The Yorkshire Evening Post), does just that.
Meslier has made 54 appearances in the Premier League for Leeds so far in his career.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper has kept 14 clean sheets in those matches.
