Jamie O’Hara has shared that ‘a few people’ reached out to him inside Tottenham Hotspur after his rant about the club on Sky Sports.

The midfielder-turned-pundit added that Tottenham told him that Antonio Conte ‘has been backed’ in the transfer market, whilst they also sent him a few things about ‘net spend’, as he told talkSPORT.

Whilst Spurs beat Crystal Palace 4-0 on Wednesday night to lift the mood in the camp, the team’s morale was on the floor during these past few days after they got beaten by Aston Villa.

That resulted in O’Hara going on Sky Sports News and calling out near-on everything that he feels is wrong with the club, from investment to those upstairs and the players on the pitch.

One thing is for sure, he has seemingly hit a nerve with someone or some people at club, or else they wouldn’t have directly reacted to him.

There will be Spurs fans out there saying that truth hurts and they are glad O’Hara spoke out for them, nonetheless, this is what he had to say on the matter.

“I was on Sky earlier and I had a bit of a rant,” said O’Hara. “I had a few people from Spurs reach out. They sent me a few things in terms of net spend and money and things like that.

“And said ‘you know he has been backed. Spurs have spent this and Spurs have spent that’. But I said ‘but it’s the quality of signings. The quality of players we have brought in has to be better’.

“It’s okay bringing in squad players to improve the squad. But where are the top players?”

TOTTENHAM BEAT PALACE

This could have been a very, very tricky fixture for Spurs because of their form, mood and the fact that Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace can prove to be very difficult to deal with.

But one man that Spurs just simply can’t do without is Harry Kane. The England captain’s quickfire double after the break put his team in the driving seat and they showcased their talent from there on in.

For Conte and Co, now it’s about moving forward and building. Starting with their FA Cup clash against Portsmouth, before the smaller matter of the north London derby.

Whilst the mood of fans would have been on the floor just a few days ago, within the next ten days, added with a win against Arsenal, then things might just change very, very quickly.
