
Southampton are set to lose out on the signing Nantes attacker Randal Kolo Muani, with AC Milan eager to wrap up the deal soon.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have accelerated talks to sign the 23-year-old this month. This is due to new interest from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and French giants Olympique Marseille.
Le 10 Sport reported in the summer that the Saints were one of many clubs eager to sign Kolo Muani, who was valued at £7m.
However, it appears that Milan, who sit second in Serie A, have won the race for the Nantes forward, who this season has been in fine form. The striker has bagged seven goals in 18 appearances this season.
Moreover, with Kolo Muani’s contract set to expire at the end of this season, clubs are keeping tabs on the forward. But, Milan now look set to sign the forward whilst his form is at its peak.
The news would be a blow to Southampton, with Kolo Muani a player who was recently lauded by Premier League legend Thierry Henry during Amazon’s coverage of Ligue 1 this season.

With a football great in Henry a fan of the attacker, the seven-time UEFA Champions League gianst could be about the land a bargain in Kolo Muani, who has been in fine form this season.
The forward has bagged more goals in Ligue 1 than the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar. And for Southampton, losing out on Kolo Muani is a blow for the south coast side, with Milan conducting some smart business for the striker.
