Dusan Vlahovic’s personal trainer has reiterated the striker’s ‘love’ for Juventus after being quizzed about a potential move to Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.

The Serbia international is not the only Juventus player who arrived amid lofty expectations before struggling to live up to his previously sky-high reputation in Turin.

Like Manuel Locatelli and Federico Chiesa – who’s development has stalled since shining at Euro 2020 – Dusan Vlahovic appears to have become a victim of Max Allegri’s asphyxiating tactics in Turin.

He scored only 14 goals in 42 games across 2022/23; left isolated in a system which fails to get the best out of Juventus’ more technically-gifted players.

Suggestions that the Bianconeri could now be booted out of Europe after being deducted 10 points for ‘false accounting’, meanwhile, have raised some rather probing questions about the futures of many senior stars too; Vlahovic one of the most sellable assets at a club who may be forced to cash in (The Guardian).

Tottenham see Dusan Vlahovic as Harry Kane replacement

According to Italian reporter Rudy Galetti, there is interest from Chelsea. Keep an eye on Tottenham Hotspur too; Vlahovic’s long-time admirers preparing to step on the accelerator if Harry Kane forces through a move to Bayern Munich.

Uros Domazet, Vlahovic’s personal trainer, was reluctant to give much away when quizzed by TuttoJuve about those Tottenham links however; insisting that his client still has a special place in his heart for Juventus.

“Yes, we talked a bit about his future,” Domazet explains. “All I can say is that he loves Juventus. He loves the city of Turin, and he is in love with the fans and everything about the club.”

Fabrizio Romano, on Thursday night, provided a list of players who will not be on the plane as Juventus jet out to the USA for their pre-season tour later this month, Denis Zakaria and veteran defender Leanardo Bonucci among those up for sale.

Vlahovic, however, still has a future at Juve. For now, at least.

Galetti adds that, if Juventus do look to sell, they hope to recoup much of the £72 million fee they paid arch rivals Fiorentina back in January 2022.
