Mauro Icardi is now reportedly on the radar of Juventus, with Tottenham also linked to the Argentine international.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Old Lady could make a move for the PSG striker if FC Barcelona follow through with their interest in Juventus forward and former Premier League star Alvaro Morata.

As per the report, Barcelona are keen on the Spanish international, and Juventus are eyeing a move for Icardi as a replacement should Morata make the move to Catalonia, with Spurs also keen on the former Inter Milan star.

Jeunes Footeux recently reported that PSG are open to selling Icardi in January just a year after signing the attacker for a fee of £45 according to the Guardian, with CalcioMercato claiming that Tottenham are interested in Icardi.

Even though Harry Kane is beginning to find his shooting boots after a slow start to the season, an extra striker could be needed if Spurs are to make a serious attempt at trying to finish in the Premier League top-four.

Indeed, Icardi could be a solid addition in January. However, Barcelona’s interest in Morata could force Juventus’ hand in signing the PSG outcast ahead of Spurs, who can’t provide the forward UEFA Champions League football next month.

Spurs have to beat Juventus to Icardi signing

The striker might have fallen down the pecking order at PSG this season, yet Icardi could be the missing piece for Spurs in the second half of the season if they can beat Juventus to the Argentine’s signature.

Extra firepower has been missing from Spurs for most of this season, and Icardi’s profile as a goalscorer could push Tottenham over the finishing line in May to clinch a Champions League spot.
