A reported Tottenham Hotspur target is ‘open’ to joining Chelsea.
At least, that’s according to journalist Simon Phillips.
Phillips has told Give Me Sport that the £44 million-rated powerhouse – linked to Tottenham this past summer – is interested in potentially signing for Graham Potter’s side.
He said: “Chelsea want to sign Gvardiol next summer along with Nkunku, they are currently speaking about both players and Gvardiol is open to the move.”

The 20-year-old Croatia international is among Europe’s best young central defenders and you can see why Spurs – and others – are reportedly interested in the starlet.
And honestly, the North Londoners shouldn’t give up hope just yet, providing Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are sincerely interested.
That’s because the Blues dropped over £100 million on two centre-backs in the form of Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana during the summer transfer window.
And if they are going to spend big money again in 2023, which they no doubt will, then it seems improbable that further hefty investment will be dedicated toward another central defender.
Tottenham, on the other hand, could very possibly be in the market for someone of Gvardiol’s ilk, given that Clement Lenglet is only on loan from Barcelona.
And with Davinson Sanchez erratic, Eric Dier inconsistent and Ben Davies turning 30 next year, the Italian duo will most probably be in the market for an additional central defender.
