According to Italian sources, a Manchester United-linked striker before Benjamin Sesko arrival has a new release clause.
The Red Devils joined the chase for Sesko in August, going up against Newcastle for the RB Leipzig forward. They eventually won out and secured a £66m deal for the 22-year-old, agreeing add-ons that could push the total fee to £73.7m.
But before landing Sesko, United were linked with several other strikers including Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen, Dusan Vlahovic and Moise Kean.
Now, if the Red Devils want to revisit their interest in one of them, they will have to deal with higher asking prices.
Moise Kean linked with move to Old Trafford before Benjamin Sesko signing

Moise Kean caught Man United’s eye after putting together a strong debut season at Fiorentina, scoring 25 goals and adding three assists across 44 matches.
Reports from Tutto Juve suggested that United gave serious thought to making a move for Kean before eventually deciding to go in another direction.
According to the same outlet, Everton’s former striker was seen as an attractive option due to a release clause that had been included in his Fiorentina contract at the time.
That clause allowed clubs to sign him for £44.8m (€52m), but only within a short window from July 1st to July 15th.
Why Moise Kean’s release clause at Fiorentina has changed after Man Utd links
Tutto Juve described Kean as a “real bargain on paper” for United, but the club ultimately chose not to move forward with the deal.
The report also noted that the Red Devils decided to focus on Benjamin Sesko instead, choosing to make a significant investment in the former RB Leipzig striker.
The Italian striker, who joined Fiorentina from Juventus in 2024, has since signed a new contract that keeps him at the club until 2029.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Kean’s new contract includes a “higher release clause” than before.
