Is Marquinhos joining Arsenal?
That’s the question a lot of Gunners’ supporters are asking and the answer is, well, it’s looking very probable.
Before a few days ago, many Arsenal fans wouldn’t have even heard of the 19-year-old Sao Paolo winger – whose release clause is £42 million – but a transfer is looking increasingly imminent.
The Brazilians have already accepted a bid from the North Londoners for their jet-heeled attacker who, according to Fabrizio Romano, has now agreed personal terms.
There was another possible indication of a move to Arsenal on the weekend when he was left out of the Sao Paolo squad in order to finalise his switch to the Premier League outfit.
And now, there’s been another indication that he’s bound for the Emirates Stadium.
Gabriel Martinelli is the most recently-followed account that Marquinhos added on Instagram and when you add everything up, well it would be a massive shock if the teenage prospect suddenly didn’t wind up joining Mikel Arteta’s side.

Marquinhos has a release clause but Arsenal will be getting him for a bargain £2.5 million.
It’s interesting that he’s following Martinelli because that’s exactly who Arteta and Edu will be hoping that he emulates.
The 20-year-old joined the club as a teenager for £6 million and although it’s difficult to estimate his value now, it’s at least 10 times that amount following a series of glittering performances under Arteta this season.
With Marquinhos only being 19, nobody will be expecting much of him in the short term but in the long term, hopefully he can be an excellent addition at Arsenal.
