As Tottenham Hotspur could potentially make a move for Julian Nagelsmann, who looks likely to be sacked by Bayern Munich, we have assessed the 4 signings he could make at Hotspur Way.

From Bundesliga starlets to rival targets, we decided to analyse why Nagelsmann would make these moves in particular.

1. Dani Olmo as the Harry Kane replacement at Tottenham

Considering Harry Kane has been touted to leave Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, there are not many more potential signings Julian Nagelsmann would be more enticed than Dani Olmo.

The pair worked together in tandem at RB Leipzig, where the Spanish international thrived as a false nine.

The German tactician clearly seems to be partial to forwards that possess this specific skillset, as Sadio Mane was brought in at Bayern Munich after thriving in the same role for Liverpool during the second half of last season.

Keeping that in mind, Julian Nagelsmann would perhaps favour Dani Olmo to lead the line in his fluid front three at Tottenham as one of his main signings.

2. As Julian Nagelsmann signings go, Goncalo Inacio ticks all the boxes

Young, extremely gifted and tactically versatile: 21-year-old Goncalo Inacio has the all makings of one of the signings Julian Nagelsmann would particularly be keen on making as Tottenham boss.

The Portuguese centre-back is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most naturally talented wonderkids in his position and beyond that, his habit of playing in a back three fits the Nagelsmann way, who tends to use a 3-2 shape in build-up at Bayern and did at Leipzig as well.

With how comfortable Inacio is in possession as well, Nagelsmann would likely rattle his name off right at the top when listing his dream signings at Tottenham.

In addition, currently, Spurs do not have a single centre-back that ticks all the boxes one needs to play in a three-man defence, including Cristian Romero, whose passing range is limited and is known to be unnecessarily rash.

3, David Raya as the Hugo Lloris replacement at Tottenham

The Brentford No.1 has reportedly told his club that he is eyeing an exit this summer amid links to Spurs.

If Julian Nagelsmann ends up joining Tottenham, he would be hoping that this report is true as a goalkeeper like Raya that is comfortable on the ball and is a dominant sweeper-keeper would be one of his most valued signings.

At both RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich, the highly-rated tactician has had the likes of Peter Gulasci and Manuel Neuer at his disposal, who are both top shotstoppers whilst being extremely proactive outside the box and can ease build-up from the back.

With Tottenham currently having Hugo Lloris at their disposal, whose profile in today’s game can be classed as outdated whilst his shotstopping has taken a sizable dip, Nagelsmann is likely to look at Raya as one of his primary signings to come into the side.

4. Julian Nagelsmann would love Moussa Diaby as one of his signings at Tottenham

Considering Julian Nagelsmann tends to favour wide wingers that can provide width and run beyond defences as well, it would not come as a shock if he fancied Moussa Diaby as one of his fairytale signings.

Labelled as ‘astonishing’ by the Bundesliga’s official website, the Bayer Leverkusen prospect has reportedly been contacted by Arsenal about a summer transfer.

Considering the 35-year-old had the likes of Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman at his disposal, he would likely be disappointed with the current wing options at Spurs, especially with Son Heung-min far from his best.

As a result, a quick and skilful wide player that possesses both athleticism and skill is expected to be his priority and the Frenchman is just that.
