It looks like Fabinho might well be fit for Liverpool’s Champions League final this weekend.

The Reds take on Real Madrid in Paris as Jurgen Klopp’s outfit go in search of a stunning treble, having won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season already.

Liverpool supporters have been sweating over Fabinho’s fitness for most of May after the Brazilian midfielder went off injured midway through a victory at Aston Villa earlier this month, with the player being injured since then and not playing a minute.

Jamie Carragher revealed this week that the former Monaco powerhouse – a £39 million signing in 2018 [BBC Sport] – was back in training.

And the big man himself has confirmed that on Wednesday evening, tweeting a picture of himself at Kirkby in scenes which will delight fans of the Anfield outfit.

Fabinho fit Champions League final

Unfortunately for Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid, yes it does look very probable that the South American tank will be available to participate for Liverpool on Saturday.

Whether he starts, however, is another thing.

But with this being the last game of the season, you have to believe Klopp will see little downside in starting him.

It’s absolutely a risk worth taking and the chances are, he will be in Liverpool’s first XI in the French capital on Saturday evening.
