Jordan Henderson has stated that Fabinho’s injury during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday was the ‘biggest disappointment’ of the night, as he told Premier League Productions.

In the first half of the all-action affair at Villa Park, Fabinho was forced off injured before the half-hour mark with what looked like a muscle issue.

Fabinho was replaced by Henderson in the middle of the park, as Liverpool fans fret at the extent of the player’s injury.

It may well just be a scare, but given the number of games these Liverpool players get through, it could also be a case of all of that now proving to be too much on their bodies.

Either way, Henderson was understandably worried about his teammate after yesterday’s win at Villa Park, as the Englishman is hoping it’s nothing too serious.

“That’s probably the biggest disappointment so far of the night really is Fab (Fabinho),” said Henderson.

“We are hoping, fingers crossed, it’s not too bad. But we know he’s a fantastic and a big player for us.

“So, fingers crossed, he is okay. But we have to use the whole squad over this period.”

This was a crucial three points in the Premier League title race because it just keeps Manchester City ticking over.

But, for Liverpool now, it’s all eyes on that Wembley arch and trying to create history once more.

Jurgen Klopp and his players will now prepare for an FA Cup final showdown with Chelsea at the weekend.

Whilst the Reds have a very able replacement in Henderson if Fabinho can’t make it, with the Champions League final also looming, many inside Anfield will be hoping the player has enough time to recover.
