Liverpool target Darwin Nunez turns down Newcastle
RMC Sport have reported that Nunez wants to play in the Champions League next season, which is why the Benfica striker has decided to reject both Manchester United and Newcastle.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Melissa Reddy has told Sky Sports Liverpool are keen on the Uruguay international striker, who earns £31,000 per week as salary at Benfica (SalarySport).
Boost
In our opinion, Darwin Nunez rejecting Newcastle and Manchester United is a boost for Liverpool, although Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in the striker does complicate things for the Reds.
Liverpool are regulars in the Champions League and could actually win the competition this season.

Jurgen Klopp’s side could also win the Premier League.
So, we feel that Liverpool would be very tempting for Nunez.
Now, of course, we know that Liverpool have a very strong attacking unit, but Nunez is a ‘striker’ and is only 22.
We think that the Benfica no. 9 will make Liverpool better and more potent in attack and will give Klopp another good option.
The youngster has scored 26 goals and given four assists in the Portuguese league and scored six goals in the Champions League for Benfica this season.
