With 2022 set to draw to a close, we have put forth the 3 Arsenal players who need to improve in 2023.
Which 3 Arsenal players need to improve in 2023?
1. Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes must leave his errors behind in 2022

For a defender of his calibre, Gabriel Magalhaes has been uncharacteristically error-prone this season.
Especially during the first couple of months, it seemed as if the Brazilian was constantly making an error or two.
Rash challenges, poor positioning, questionable decision-making; you name it and the former Lille centre-back was culpable in some way, shape or form.
However, in recent weeks, Gabriel’s displays have seen an undeniable upturn.
The 25-year-old must maintain this run of form as well as how reliable he was in the previous campaign to ensure Arsenal fight it out right till the death in the Premier League title race in 2023.
2. The only trait Arsenal talisman Gabriel Jesus has to improve is his finishing

First things first, Gabriel Jesus is having a superb season and has been one of the Gunners’ finest performers since his arrival in the summer.
The former Manchester City striker’s brilliant all-round game makes him such a huge asset for Arsenal, as he is on another level to both Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazatte in this respect.
But if there is one aspect of his game that the decorated forward can improve upon, it is his finishing.
Against the likes of Nottingham Forest Southampton and Chelsea, Jesus has fluffed his lines.
For a striker regarded as one of the best in the division, his lethalness in front of goal is questionable.
In any title race, be it this season or in the future, Gabriel Jesus’ wastefulness (via Football.London) could settle the title race in the side not named Arsenal’s favour in 2023.
While Mikel Arteta once defended the 25-year-old’s underwhelming finishing due to his creativity, one days where he isn’t at his best, it could really deter the Gunners.
3. Eddie Nketiah needs to hit new levels for Arsenal in 2023

In Eddie Nketiah’s case, it is a case of improving in a sense of becoming a striker who can lead the line for a potentially title-winning team.
While the Hale End graduate did score a number of key goals at the end of last season, replacing the injured Gabriel Jesus is a completely different ball game.
For starters, the amount Jesus brings to stitch that forward line together is a trait that the ex-Chelsea academy product must try to replicate in some way, shape or form.
And of course, Nketiah will have to find the back of the net regularly as well, as he is expected to lead Arsenal’s title charge, which is a circumstance he has never played under.
While Eddie Nketiah remains a talented goalscorer, that may not be enough if he does not step his game up for Arsenal in 2023.
