Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has urged Arsenal on Twitter to keep Folarin Balogun.
Bolasie made the comment about the 19-year-old striker while watching him in action for Arsenal in their Europa League against Dundalk way from home on Thursday evening.
The England Under-20 international came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute and scored in the 80th minute, as the Gunners won 4-2.
Bolasie – who joined Everton from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million – was impressed by the display produced by Balogun.
New contract for Folarin Balogun?
According to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants Balogun to sign a new contract and stay at the club.
The teenager is out of contract at the end of the season, and his senior appearances this season have been limited to the Europa League.
It would make sense for Arsenal to tie down the teenager to a new long-term deal, as he has the talent and the potential to make it big at the North London club.
