Bryan Gil has taken to Instagram to share a cryptic message after his move from Tottenham to Valencia collapsed on transfer deadline day.

What’s the story?

Well, the 21-year-old was set to join Valencia on loan ahead of tonight’s 11pm deadline, although according to Fabrizio Romano, the deal has now broken down.

It comes after Gil made 13 La Liga appearances while on loan at Valencia last season, where he impressed at the Mestalla.

However, the Spanish side are now set to sign Justin Kluivert instead – Fulham almost got their hands on the Dutchman, although he did not qualify for a work permit.

The news seems to have upset the Tottenham No.11 – he has now taken to Instagram to share an interesting post suggesting he is not happy in N17.

Romano does not state why Gil’s return to Valencia collapsed, although Football London believe Spurs wanted to sign a replacement for the £21.6m man before allowing him to leave, which Fabio Paratici is yet to do.

Given the fact Tottenham have pulled the plug on the deal, it suggests no new incomings will be made today.

That will surely frustrate Gennaro Gattuso, who announced that Valencia had “closed a deal” with Spurs for the Spain international.

Gil is now set to stay and fight for a first-team place under Antonio Conte, who gave him just eight appearances before loaning him to Valencia last season.

So far this term, the winger has not played a single second of Premier League football, and has been left out of the last two Premier League squads entirely.

Tottenham should use Bryan Gil

In our view, Conte is a good enough coach to make use of Gil this season.

The Spaniard was one of few bright spots during Nuno Espirito Santo’s time in charge of Tottenham, where his fearless dribbling and rapid pace caught the eye.

Conte has clearly been keen to add another forward to his ranks given the interest in Anthony Gordon, so if Gil works hard at Hotspur Way and impresses the Italian, he could be given more minutes as part of the attack.
