One Tottenham ace who left the club this summer is already making a strong impression at his new club.

Spurs begin their Premier League campaign on Monday evening with a trip to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City.

Tottenham fans will be excited to see some of their new signings in action, including £65million arrival Dominic Solanke.

It has been a fairly busy summer for the North London outfit with Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Min-hyeok Yang all joining Solanke as new signings.

Spurs have also trimmed Ange Postecoglou‘s squad with seven players leaving on a permanent basis this summer and a further four going out on loan.

One of Tottenham’s loan stars is Bryan Gil, who was signed for £22million back in 2021.

Bryan Gil is ‘outstanding’

Gil has never really found his place at Tottenham after completing a move from Sevilla.

Yet, Spurs seem reluctant to sell the 23-year-old Spaniard and have instead opted to loan him out. He will spend the 2024-25 season with La Liga side Girona.

Girona kicked off their league campaign on Thursday evening with a 1-1 draw against Real Betis, and Spanish media has piled praise on Gil for his performance.

Sunday’s edition of Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo hailed Gil as “the most outstanding player in the squad”.

Gil started on the right of a front three and ended the match with a 90 percent passing accuracy and two key passes. His defensive stats were also impressive with nine ground duels won in his 81-minute display.

One to watch for Tottenham

Tottenham have an exciting squad to watch this season and under Postecoglou’s system they will no doubt be one of the most entertaining in the league.

But Spurs fans may want to cast their attention over to Spain every now and then to keep track of Gil.

He appears to have hit the ground running in Spain and he could work his way back into Postecoglou’s plans with a successful loan spell – or at least earn Spurs a decent transfer fee.
