Fabio Paratici carved out a reputation of being one of Europe’s greatest transfer operators at Juventus, and it’s not taken long for him to prove his prowess at Tottenham.
Indeed, the Italian has pulled off a number of brilliant deals since arriving in north London last summer, bringing the likes of Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur to the club.
However, Paratici’s best signing since arriving at Tottenham has arguably been Dejan Kulusevski.
Indeed, the Swedish winger was signed in January on an initial loan deal, but Tottenham hold the option to make that move permanent for just £25m, a fee that already looks like an absolute snip.
Kulusevski has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water. He has five goals and eight assists to his name in just 14 starts, and understandably, his market value has skyrocketed in the wake of his incredible form for Tottenham.
According to CIES, Kulusevski is currently worth €75m (£64m), and we can absolutely understand where The Football Observatory have gotten that number from.
Kulusevski, at just 22, has proven he can mix it with the very best players in the Premier League, and if he keeps this form up over the next 12 months, £64m will even look like a snip.
Luckily for Tottenham, they won’t have to pay anything close to £64m to sign Kulusevski permanently, as we’ve previously mentioned, they have the option to buy the winger for just £25m, and, understandably, they will be taking up that option next summer.
Fabrizio Romano states that Spurs won’t be coughing up the cash in the coming months, but in 12 months’ time, Tottenham are fully expected to conclude this bargain deal.
