Destiny Udogie is reportedly close to completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer – and he has dropped a huge hint that a move is near completion, by posting on his Instagram page with the location set as London.
Udogie, 19, has come on to the radar at Tottenham after a wonderful 2021-22 campaign at Serie A side Udinese. He joined the club only last summer from Hellas Verona, and had a hand in seven goals during 37 senior appearances.
Playing as a left-back, a left wing-back or a left midfielder, four-time Italy Under-21 international Udogie caught the eye. Reports on Monday state that a £21million deal is in place and a medical is imminent for Udogie.
Given Spurs have Ryan Sessegnon, Ivan Perisic and Sergio Reguilon on the books – although the latter could leave – Udogie is expected to stay with Udinese on loan for 2022-23. But he hinted at a move with a post on Instagram.

It is clear that Udogie is about to complete a move to Spurs. Reports on Monday suggest that Udogie was to undergo a medical in his home country before a deal came through. But that might be incorrect given his Insta location.
Where does it leave Tottenham’s current options? Well, they will not have to worry too much, at least for the next 12 months. But Udogie is a proper talent and will get another season at a good level with Udinese under his belt.
Reguilon is more than likely to depart the club before the end of the summer window. Perisic and Sessegnon will be fighting it out to start at left wing-back. Alan Shearer claimed on Monday that Sessegnon has stolen a march.
Udogie, though, is an exciting signing. Paratici is known for his faith in youth and conducted a similar deal for Pape Matar Sarr, who went back to Metz on loan last season. He could feature at points during the 22-23 season.
