After Tottenham secured the signings of Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence is now on his way.
The England Under-21 international is set to join Spurs in an initial £12.5m deal from Middlesbrough, following a fine season-long loan at Nottingham Forest last term, in which he won the Championship play-off final.
Now, a tweet from 2019 has been unearthed, which suggests Spence may actually support Tottenham.

Well, the 21-year-old seemed to enjoy that historic night in Amsterdam just as much as every other Spurs fan, as he took to Twitter to praise Lucas Moura after that astonishing hat-trick.

Now, the exciting right-back will be joining the Brazilian in north London, as long as he passes a medical.
According to Sky Sports, Spence is set to have a medical at Hotspur Way this morning, before he officially becomes the sixth signing made by Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici this summer.
The Londoner’s move to Tottenham comes after he made 50 appearances in all competitions last season, impressing supporters with his end product as he scored three goals and provided five assists.
If he settles in quickly, Spence is expected to leapfrog Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty to become Conte’s first-choice option at right-back.
In our view, his ability going forward will see him thrive as a wing-back in Conte’s preferred system.

If Spence can adapt to Premier League football, Paratici may have pulled off the signing of the summer given the finances involved.
As aforesaid, Spence is only costing Tottenham an initial £12.5m, in a deal which could rise to £20m if add-ons are triggered.
The Englishman is also said to be earning just £4,400-a-week at Middlesbrough, so his wage demands are highly unlikely to make a significant dent in Tottenham’s salary bill.
Spence was also said to be a target for Arsenal, which makes this deal even sweeter for Spurs.
With all things considered, this is a truly brilliant signing by Conte and Paratici.
