Leeds United seemingly won’t be signing Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford as he closes in on a move to Burnley.
James Trafford is now on the verge of completing a huge £19million move from Manchester City to Burnley.
That is according to TalkSPORT, who claim that Trafford is now in ‘advanced talks’ to sign for Burnley.
It’s stated that the Clarets will strike a deal worth around £19million for Trafford with City holding a buy-back clause.
BBC Sport add that the total deal is worth £15million plus a potential £4million in add-ons, taking the deal to that £19million figure.
This means that Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is raiding former club Manchester City once again in an attempt to strengthen his side.
CJ Egan-Riley, Arijanet Muric and Taylor Harwood-Bellis all joined Burnley from City last summer.
20-year-old Trafford will now join former City goalkeeper Muric at Turf Moor, potentially relegating the Kosovo international to second choice.
Then there is Lawrence Vigouroux, who only recently joined the club from Leyton Orient but will seemingly have a backup role at Turf Moor.

Leeds United won’t be signing James Trafford
News of Burnley’s deal for Trafford comes just hours after links with a move to Leeds United.
The Daily Mail reported on Monday that Trafford was attracting interest from both Leeds and Leicester City.
The two relegated clubs were seemingly eyeing up Trafford to help their respective pushes for promotion.

Leeds are expecting to lose Illan Meslier this summer whilst Joel Robles – who ended the season in goal for Sam Allardyce – has already been released.
Leeds may well have felt that Trafford has the talent to become their first-choice goalkeeper for years to come.
It’s hard to imagine Leeds striking a £19million deal in the Championship though with Burnley in a position to blow them out of the water.
Leeds will have to move on in their search for a new stopper, with Newcastle United’s Karl Darlow a top target.
