According to The Athletic, Arsenal are keen to sign RB Leipzig utility man Tyler Adams this summer.
The Gunners admire the fact that the 22-year-old can play at right-back, right-midfield and also in defensive-midfield.
As covered by us recently, Adams has been described as ‘fearless’ while also drawing comparisons to Gareth Bale in the past.
The New York-born player – who cost $3 million (£2.1 million) – made 37 appearances in all competitions this season under Julian Nagelsmann.
Seeing as the German has now joined Bayern Munich, Adams probably learned a fair bit from the impressive tactician at RB Leipzig.
To add a fresh spin on Arsenal’s interest in Adams, he has an intriguing relationship with one Gunner that some supporters might not know about.
Adams idolises Emile Smith Rowe

Interestingly, Adams actually spent time with Emile Smith Rowe while the Hale End graduate was on loan at RB Leipzig.
The pair seemed to strike up a friendship, so much so that the 14-cap USA international still leaves comments on the Arsenal man’s Instagram.
After Smith Rowe helped Arsenal beat Tottenham back in March, Adams called the Gunners No.32 his idol on Instagram (The Boot Room).

Adams and Smith Rowe also appeared to be roommates over in Germany, as RB Leipzig posted a video of the duo in fits of laughter.
You can see the footage below.
If Edu and Mikel Arteta can pull this deal off, then at least Adams will have someone he knows well already at the club.
In our view, his relationship with Smith Rowe could also help lure the American to north London – watch this space.
