Fenerbahce have now declared their interest in West Ham United winger Said Benrahma ahead of the January transfer window.

David Moyes will have some decisions to make on both incomings and outgoings at West Ham over the coming weeks.

A report from Takvim suggests that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are keen on Said Benrahma but know they face competition from other European clubs.

It’s been a season of ups and downs for West Ham after progressing in the Europa League but struggling for consistency in the Premier League.

The signing of Mohammed Kudus looks like an inspired decision, while James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez have thrived in midfield.

Jarrod Bowen is doing everything he can to make sure he’s in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros.

Moyes has plenty of attacking options to choose from and that means several players are struggling for minutes.

Said Benrahma is one of those players and Fenerbahce are now eyeing a move for one of West Ham’s most skilful players.

The 28-year-old has started just four league matches this season and recorded a single assist.

He’s started the same number of matches in the Europa League but the Hammers could afford to lose the Algerian international should an appropriate bid come in.

Fenerbahce want West Ham star Benrahma

The report from Takvim suggests that both Fenerbahce and French giants Lyon are keen on Benrahma.

They value the winger at £19m and he’s expected to make his decision on where his future lies in the next week.

Fenerbahce initially want to sign Benrahma on loan from West Ham before completing his signing in the summer.

The options on the table for Benrahma right now couldn’t be more different.

Fenerbahce are currently top of the Turkish Super Lig, level on points with rivals Galatasaray.

In stark contrast, Lyon have spent much of this season in the relegation zone, requiring three wins on the bounce to escape the bottom three.

West Ham have to consider potential injury crisis before letting Benrahma go

One of the underlying issues faced by every Premier League team this season is the sheer number of injuries occurring.

The Hammers are currently without Michail Antonio while Nayef Aguerd and Maxwel Cornet aren’t fully fit either.

West Ham may regret letting Benrahma join Fenerbahce if Kudus and Pablo Fornals for example are suddenly unavailable.

This season is going to be a way of attrition for every team and whichever squad avoids injuries the most is likely to do well.

They’re already looking at bringing players in next month with Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo one potential target.

Striker Akor Adams is another option being considered and he has admitted it’s his dream to play in the Premier League.

West Ham need to find some consistency and if they do then they should be challenging for European football and targeting a run deep into the Europa League.

Whether they need Benrahma or not is a tough decision for Moyes to make as he could be required, but right now, there’s no way he’s going to get into the team considering the form of the likes of Kudus and Bowen.
