Borussia Monchengladbach have emerged as a potential suitor for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, who is set to leave the Gunners this summer at the end of his contract.
According to Bild, the Bundesliga side are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old attacker, with Gladbach linked with a move for Nketiah last year as Arsenal looked to cash in on their first-team striker.

Despite being rumoured with an exit from Arsenal for the past 18 months, Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar have yet to sanction a move for Nketiah. Yet this summer, the forward is set to leave the north London club with his contract expiring at the end of this season.
Gladbach are not alone in their interest in Nketiah, though. Crystal Palace have long been interested in the England youth international, with other Premier League and German clubs likely to move for the striker in the summer transfer window.
Labelled as ‘extraordinary’ by manager Arteta, Nketiah has failed to break into the regular Arsenal XI this season, with the striker playing most of his football in the League Cup, where the attacker bagged an impressive five goals.
With Gladbach sat 11th place in the Bundesliga table, a striker will be welcome this summer for the German giants, and Nketiah could be a sensational option given the style of football in the country and the success of other English players in recent years.

For many Arsenal fans, seeing Nketiah leave will be a reminder of what could have happened had the striker developed into what many expected the youngster to become, yet a move to Gladbach in Germany could be the catalyst that unleashes the 22-year-old.
Indeed, the Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in Europe for young players to develop and learn their game, and for Nketiah, Gladbach has proven to be an excellent environment for inexperienced talents to get the minutes needed to become a force in the German top-flight.
