Tammy Abraham has taken to Twitter to send a message to Ian Wright, after the Arsenal legend applauded his efforts for Roma.

What’s the story?

Well, it was Il Messaggero who revealed that Arsenal are interested in signing the 24-year-old, who has shone since leaving Chelsea.

According to the Daily Mail, Roma would only part with their prolific No.9 for a sum of £100m, which would land them a huge return on their £34m investment.

Now, Abraham has exchanged messages with Wright on Twitter, after the 58-year-old praised the striker for his display in a 1-1 draw against Napoli.

You can see their interaction on Twitter below.

Now, it may not be much, but some Arsenal fans might become excited at seeing a target for Edu interact with a club legend like Wright.

Arsenal should’ve signed Tammy Abraham in 2021

Having scored 24 goals in 45 appearances this season, Abraham would be a phenomenal signing for Mikel Arteta.

However, it will be a very tricky deal to pull off given Roma’s asking price.

In our view, the Gunners would’ve made life a lot easier for themselves had they wrapped up a deal last summer, when Abraham actually told his Chelsea teammates he wanted to join Arsenal, according to The Athletic.

Unfortunately, no offer arrived in Chelsea’s inbox, and the London-born goalscorer eventually teamed up with José Mourinho in Rome.

Make no mistake about it, Arsenal will kick themselves if they can’t amend their mistake and sign Abraham this summer.

With his goals in the side, the north Londoners may have already qualified for the Champions League.
