Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said that Kylian Mbappe will not leave, as quoted in The Mirror, amid speculation linking him with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Mbappe has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Well-known journalist Duncan Castles has said on the Transfer Window Podcast that Mbappe’s first-choice club, if he leaves PSG, would be Liverpool, as covered by HITC Sport.

Journalist Ian McGarry has previously said on the Transfer Window Podcast that the Merseyside club are looking into the possibility of signing Mbappe from PSG, as covered by HITC Sport.

Back in September, L’Equipe reported that that Liverpool are planning to make a move for the striker this summer.

PSG have failed to win the Ligue 1 title this season, but Al-Khelaifi has made it clear that the French club will not sell the 22-year-old.

The Mirror quotes Al-Khelaifi as saying about Mbappe: “For me, Kylian is a PSG player and will be a PSG player. I am not worried. Do not worry, let us work.

“Mbappe is Parisian. He is French, he is Parisian, he is under contract and he wants to stay 100 per cent.’

PSG are a rich club and do not have to sell Mbappe.

Now, of course, the 22-year-old himself may want to leave.

Even if the youngster decides that he wants a new adventure, Liverpool will not find it easy to sign him.

PSG paid £166 million to sign the youngster, and it unlikely that they will sell him at a loss.
