Jonathan Moss has been appointed referee for Mikel Arteta’s trip to the south coast as Arsenal take on Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Premier League announced on their official website that the veteran official will take charge of the Gunners’ huge top-flight. Arsenal will be looking for three points following a massive 3-1 win over Tottenham last weekend.
The Gunners have turned a corner in September after a disastrous start to the season. Arsenal find themselves tenth in the Premier League standings, and a win could see them jump to as high as seventh.
However, Brighton have started the season flying. Graham Potter’s side sit four points clear of Arsenal in sixth, with the Seagulls just one point off the top spot.
Indeed, it will be an interesting clash this Saturday when Arsenal face Brighton at the Amex Stadium. Yet supporters on social media are fuming with who will referee the affair.
After all, Moss is one of the strictest officials in the Premier League. And the Sunderland-born referee will no doubt be in the thick of it when the game kicks off at 5:30 pm.

Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say about Moss taking the role as referee for their away trip to Brighton on Twitter…
