Some West Ham United fans on Twitter are far from happy with David Moyes’ decision to start Michail Antonio against Aston Villa after he’d spent a spell on the sidelines with injury.
The striker started against the Villans, but it was quickly evident that he wasn’t at his best, and fortunately, Moyes decided to take him off at half-time, replacing him with Sebastien Haller.
Fans weren’t happy with Moyes’ decision to rush Antonio back from injury, but you have to admit that the manager did a good job in spotting the problem quickly, hooking Antonio before his underperformance cost the Hammers too much.
Fortunately, the London outfit were able to turn things around after Antonio came off, with a second half winner earning them all three points.
However, it still has to be said that Moyes got his team selection wrong in this case, but you can’t overly criticise him for this point, because, at the end of the day, his team won and that’s all that matters.
The fans have had very few complaints about Moyes’ management this season, but they weren’t happy about this, with one fan claiming that it’s the first thing Moyes has got wrong in weeks, while another said that it was a 0/10 decision.
