Despite the many positives to take from West Ham’s draw against Manchester City, David Moyes has unfortunately had to deliver some bad news regarding Michail Antonio.
The former Manchester United manager revealed that the Irons’ goal-scorer on the day was withdrawn in the 51st minute because of a hamstring injury.
Moyes told the club’s official website: ‘We had to bring him off against Spurs with something a wee bit the same. He’s just feeling something a little bit in his hamstring. We think he feels it’s just cramping so it’s not serious, but we’re not too sure.’
It is worrying to hear that the former Nottingham Forest man has been feeling him hamstring across the last two games.
West Ham supporters will be praying that he is okay for their next game against Liverpool, given his ever-growing importance to the team.

Today’s overhead kick against Pep Guardiola’s side was Antonio’s third Premier League goal of the season in six appearances.
However, his good form extends beyond that. Since the end of February, the Englishman has netted 11 goals, having scored eight in the Premier League last term from March onwards.

West Ham’s No.30 is emerging as a real talisman for his side, and is even keeping £45 million Sebastien Haller on the sidelines, such is his excellent form.
Moyes will be hoping that his in-form striker will be okay to join training in the next few days, although his comments aren’t the most convincing.
