QPR open talks regarding deal for Hull winger Ahmed Elmohamady

HITC Sport understands that the Loftus Road outfit are hoping to push through a deal on transfer deadline day.

Quees Park Rangers have opened talks with Hull City over a deal for Ahmed Elmohamady, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the potential deal.

Rangers are looking at the Egyptian international to bolster their promotion push and he could help fill to the possible void that Matt Phillips would create, should he be granted a deadline day more to West Bromwich Albion – with the Baggies’ interest revealed by HITC Sport last week.

Elmohamady is a popular figure at the KC Stadium, having followed boss Steve Bruce from Sunderland in 2012, and the 27-year-old has featured in over 130 games for the Tigers.

But QPR are looking to tempt him to Loftus Road, although HITC Sport understands there is a major question mark over a work permit and whether Egyptians meet the new criteria, as they are not ranked in FIFA's top 50.

Subject to a permit, Elmohamady could be handed a long-term deal by Rangers and he is understood to be open to the prospect of making the move.
