HITC Sport understands that any deal could be purely cash, but may also include players heading in the opposite direction.
West Bromwich Albion are looking to tie up a deal for Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline, HITC Sport understands.
Tony Pulis is a big fan of the Scottish wide-man, who can also play across the forward line and he has been linked with a move all summer following QPR’s relegation from the Premier League.
The 24-year-old is valued at over £10million by QPR, which has put off a number of potential suitors so far, but West Brom are keen on trying to broker a deal.
HITC Sport understands that West Brom could include players in the deal, but are also happy to table purely cash – depending on the terms.
As QPR have shown with Charlie Austin, they will not let any player leave until their value is met – but QPR sources have confirmed to HITC Sport that Phillips could very well leave in the coming days.
