The Juventus midfielder is expected to join the Red Devils for a world record fee this summer.
Sweden’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has welcomed the idea of Paul Pogba joining him at Manchester United, in quotes published by the Guardian.
The 34-year old was speaking to the press after making his debut in the Red Devils’ 5-2 win over Galatasaray yesterday.
“We have something big going on,” said Ibrahimovic. “It looks very interesting. Let’s see if Pogba will also [come], then it will be even more interesting.”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The former Paris Saint German and Inter Milan star began his United career in characteristic fashion; scoring with an overhead kick three minutes into his debut.
Antonio Valencia burst down the right flank and floated in a cross where a waiting Ibrahimovic held off the defender at his back, met the ball in mid-air and watched it bounce off the turf before nestling in the back of the net.
France’s Paul Pogba
United fans will hope to see such sights regularly at Old Trafford this season and should the enigmatic striker be joined by Pogba, then there’s an even better chance that they will.
The club’s very public pursuit of the French star has been one of the summer’s most drawn out transfer sagas but it now appears to be a case of when, and not if, the Juventus midfielder makes the switch.
