Zinedine Zidane has showered praise on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur, Zinedine Zidane has hailed Harry Kane as a complete player.
However, unlike Pep Guardiola, Zidane said that Spurs are a very good side under Mauricio Pochettino and are about more than about the England striker.
The 24-year-old has taken his game to a different level this season, and has already scored five goals in two games so far in Group H.
His impressive form has been a subject of discussions among pundits, players and other managers, and many believe he is gradually getting into the elite level group of footballers.
Also, Kane’s superb form has seen him being linked with a move to Real Madrid (the rumour mill generating mainly from the Spanish press), potentially following the steps of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, both joining Los Blancos from Spurs.
Zidane says that Kane is “very important” and a “key” player for Tottenham, and that the England striker is very good at everything.
The Frenchman added that Spurs have always been a great club, and that they are improving rapidly under Pochettino.
“I don’t know what will happen in the future, but in the present, he [Kane] is a very important player and key player for Tottenham,” Zidane said, as quoted by ESPN.
“He is very good at everything, but what he does well is that he always goes towards the goal and his speed is very good.
“He is a complete player. He didn’t seem to be [when he was younger], but in the end, that is what he is. But Tottenham is not just Kane — it is a very good team and we are going to prepare very well.”
