Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers side are looking to end their wait for a victory.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton
Ziggy Gordon has predicted that Partick Thistle will have to try and cope with the best Rangers team possible following Mark Warburton’s side’s recent defeat to Aberdeen, the Evening Times reports.
The Gers host the Scottish Premiership’s bottom club at the weekend, so may be looking at the game as the perfect opportunity to end their four-match run without a win in the top flight, especially given the manner of their loss to the Dons.
Rangers’ Joey Barton looks dejected following their Old Firm defeat
After playing well at Pittodrie, the Light Blues came away with nothing after a controversial decision allowed Derek McInnes’ men to score a free-kick in the dying minutes.
And Gordon has suggested that the nature of that loss will ensure that Warburton’s men are more than up for this Saturday’s clash.
“I’ve heard the atmosphere is electric and they really get on your back to help their team as much as they can,” he said, as reported by the Evening Times.
Rangers’ Joe Garner celebrates
“I think it’s crucial that we start the game well, and hopefully that will backfire on them and the crowd gets on their backs.
“I’ve been to difficult places like Celtic and Hearts, and if you do start the game well then you get more confidence and you start to believe even more that you can win the game.
“It will probably be one of the best Rangers sides we’ll see this season because of the disappointment of defeat at Aberdeen, but we just need to be ready for it.”

With more and more people seemingly writing off the Gers’ hopes of achieving something this season as their poor run continues, the Ibrox club will know that, on paper, they will not have a better opportunity to end their current patch.
And if they avoid any complacency by reminding themselves of what has happened in recent games when they have not taken their chances, it seems likely that Rangers will go into the international break with a much-needed boost.
