Lille defender Zeki Celik has told DHA that he is happy with the club despite speculation surrounding a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Celik joined Lille from Turkish second-tier side Istanbulspor in the summer of 2018, and has become a dependable player in French football.
The 23-year-old is now a regular for Turkey with 10 caps and two goals to his name, and his performances have attracted interest.
BuzzSport recently reported that Tottenham want to sign Celik, with Jose Mourinho keen. A fee of up to €30million (£26.5million) has been mentioned for the Turkish ace.
Spurs appointed former Lille assistant Joao Sacramento as Mourinho’s right-hand man in November, so he would know plenty about Celik.
Serge Aurier is Tottenham’s first-choice right back, but he needs competition. Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth appear to have little future under Mourinho, so a new signing is needed.

Celik would fit the bill, but he has now suggested that he is happy with Lille and is merely focusing on next season – whenever it can start.
Celik pointed out that he still has four years to run with Lille, and knows nothing about a potential move despite the Spurs talk.
“I have a four-year contract with my club,” said Celik. “It is also said that there are suitors for the transfer, but I do not know. I am preparing for the new season and I am happy with my club,” he added.
