The club’s very existence is under threat, with Sky News reporting the club face potential liquidation.
Bolton need to meet the EFL’s legal demands with regards to their proposed takeover, before 5pm.
Bolton supporters are naturally extremely worried about the situation.
Former Bolton striker Zach Clough has expressed his concern, and is hoping for a positive outcome.
Bolton are currently in League One after they were relegated from the Championship last season.
Clough, 24, is at Nottingham Forest, having been sold by Bolton in 2017.
He was later loaned back to Bolton, and is yet to play this season.
