Nottingham Forest pulled off one of the results of the weekend as they beat promotion-chasing Brighton and Hove Albion 3-0 at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
Forest had picked up just one point in four games before second-placed Brighton arrived at the City Ground, with few giving Forest much of a chance of a win.
However, Gary Brazil led his side to a superb victory, with Zach Clough opening the scoring after an hour – having been on the pitch for just one minute – though Britt Assombalonga is claiming the goal.
Midfielder Ben Osborn tapped home a second from close range after a comical howler from Seagulls goalkeeper David Stockdale, and Clough made it three from the penalty spot, after Lewis Dunk had fouled Ben Brereton.
Saturday’s shock result not only increased the pressure on Brighton in their battle for promotion, but gave Forest a welcome boost in their bid to avoid relegation to League One.

After the final whistle, forward Clough took to Twitter to celebrate the win and his first goal for Forest since joining the club from Bolton Wanderers back in January.
Striker Brereton was delighted with the performance and the support from fans, whilst he also congratulated Clough on his first goal for Forest.
Joe Worrall, Matty Cash and Hildeberto Pereira also sent messages to fans after the victory, which leaves Forest six points clear of the relegation zone.
