‘You’ve got to wonder’: Some Rangers fans think club have made a ‘wrong decision’

Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Jake Hastie leaving the Ibrox club on loan.

As announced on Rangers’ official website, Hastie has joined Motherwell on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.

The winger actually moved to Rangers from their Scottish Premiership rivals last summer and was immediately sent out on loan to Rotherham United in England.

The 21-year-old was recalled from his loan spell at Rotherham in January, but the winger failed to make an impact on the Rangers first team thereafter.

The Scotland Under-21 international is a very good winger who will get better in the coming years, but he needs to play first-team football on a regular basis.

Rangers have a strong squad and some very good attacking players, and it would have been hard for Hastie to establish himself in manager Steven Gerrard’s starting lineup next season.

Motherwell are an ambitious club, and perhaps the winger will be back to his best amid familiar surroundings.
