Speaking on his podcast, Glenn Hoddle has been waxing-lyrical about Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa and the job he has done this season.
The Argentine has taken the Premier League by storm, guiding his United side to a top-half finish and claiming some massive scalps along the way, beating the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham at Elland Road.
Hoddle believes that Bielsa has to be in the conversation for Manager of the Year after such an impressive debut season in the top-flight of English football.
“You know, David Moyes has done great, Graham Potter at Brighton. Bielsa at Leeds has done a fabulous job you’ve got to say. To come up and play the style of football that he has done and ending up where he is you know in the top-half of the league, there’s plenty of ways of judging a manager’s work,” Hoddle said.

The former England boss is spot on about Bielsa.
The Argentine may not have won any trophies or qualified for any European competitions, but he’s surpassed all expectations at Leeds and made a real lasting impact on the Premier League.
In just 38 games Bielsa has rewritten the blueprint of what a newly-promoted team are able to achieve, and while they weren’t the best team in the division, they played every game as though they expected to win.
Bielsa has done a remarkable job ever since he arrived at Elland Road, and Hoddle is spot on about the praise he deserves.
