On Tuesday, the Ibrox outfit announced that they had successfully convinced Steven Davis to sign a new contract.
The 37-year-old looked set to leave Rangers on a Bosman soon amid potential retirement rumours.
But the Northern Ireland international isn’t hanging up his boots anytime soon, having signed a one-year extension on Tuesday.
And there was more news from Rangers earlier today after the club revealed that Connor Goldson had signed a new four-year deal in what is a massive boost.
Like Davis, the English defender had looked poised to leave Glasgow on a free this summer, with clubs like Nottingham Forest – now in the Premier League – reportedly interested in him.

You get the feeling that there’s unfinished business for the Rangers duo.
Yes, they both won the Scottish Cup this past season, but that isn’t enough for a club of that stature.
They were also beaten finalists in the Europa League, suffering the heartbreak of a penalty shootout defeat by Eintracht Frankfurt, and Celtic wound up reclaiming the Scottish Premiership title that they had won for nine years in a row before Steven Gerrard stopped the 10 last term.
The Scottish Cup offered something to celebrate but, really, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will know it was a lukewarm campaign and he’ll know that Davis and Goldson are central to heating it up next time around.
