Jamie Carragher was left surprised and had a chuckle when he saw James Milner attempting a few ‘stepovers’ in stoppage-time of Liverpool’s 7-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday at Anfield.
Even with seven goals on the board, Jurgen Klopp’s men were throwing men forward right at the death like they were chasing a winner.
Liverpool had already humiliated and embarrassed their rivals, but it wasn’t enough for them as they went on the counter-attack after dealing with Manchester United’s free-kick.

That’s when Milner proceeded to get the ball on the left channel and he started to dance to the tune of the Anfield crowd who were already in party mode.
Well, in the commentary box, where Carragher was sat alongside a certain Gary Neville, the former Liverpool man was certainly enjoying himself.
And he certainly liked seeing Milner attempt a few stepovers during the game, as he told Sky Sports Premier League (05/03/23).
“They want another goal,” said Carragher. “Forget the clean sheet. You have got Milner doing stepovers now.”

A DAY LIVERPOOL FANS WON’T FORGET
This will live long in the memory of Liverpool fans and it’s a moment that will go down in history.
Erik ten Hag has done a pretty solid job at Manchester United since joining in the summer, including helping the team lift the League Cup.
But this surely has to be a massive stain on what he has done because a result and performance like this is never acceptable.
