Mulumbu has starred for Kilmarnock since joining earlier this season, which has attracted interest from Rangers and Celtic.

Kilmarnock midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has told the Scottish Sun that he is flattered by reported interest from Old Firm rivals Rangers and Celtic as he continues to shine at Rugby Park.
The 31-year-old joined Steve Clarke’s side in November and has since taken the Scottish Premiership by storm, laying on four assists in 14 appearances while his only goal of the season came in a 1-0 win over Celtic.
However, the 38-time DR Congo international could be set to leave Kilmarnock just months after joining the club as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

It has seen both Celtic and Rangers become interested according to the Scottish Sun, as well as Hibernian and Aberdeen, as Mulumbu weighs up his options with just under three months until the summer transfer window.
“I’m not going to lie to you, it’s an honour to have my name linked with those teams but I don’t even know if it’s rumours or if it’s true,” Mulumbu said.
“I’m proud of that. I don’t know if it’s true or not but I’m proud. I know that when you have some good games against the best teams in the league, Celtic or Rangers, people are going to start talking and saying ‘he’s going to go there’.
“But the best thing for me is to focus on Kilmarnock and with all the respect I have for the club I can’t be thinking about something else and some other team. Off the pitch, I leave that to my agent Sebastien Casenaz.”

A move to Celtic would see Mulumbu’s game time deteriorate dramatically, with Brendan Rodgers already boasting the likes of Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong, Callum McGregor and Kouassi Eboue in the middle of the park.
It could see Mulumbu prefer a move to Ibrox, which would see the former Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion midfielder link up with Graham Dorrans – with whom he played at the aforementioned English clubs.
