Liverpool already have one of the scariest attacking lineups in the world, but that isn’t stopping them from being linked with more firepower.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have struck fear into Premier League defences for more than three years now, and Diogo Jota has now joined them.

Still, Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe continues to be linked with Liverpool, in what would surely be a club-record fee should a move materialise.

Le Parisien reported just last week that Mbappe doesn’t want to extend his contract with PSG, and could join either Real Madrid or Liverpool next summer.

The 21-year-old has smashed 96 goals in 130 games for PSG since signing from Monaco in 2017, and is considered to be the next world star of the game.

Mbappe would of course be a huge coup for Liverpool, and World Cup winner Youri Djorkaeff has now given his view on the rumours to Paris Fans.

Djorkaeff doesn’t think Mbappe will stay at PSG for 10 years, and believes that the ideal situation is that Mbappe wins the Champions League with PSG and then leaves next summer.

Liverpool appear well-positioned if Mbappe does want to move on, and Djorkaeff thinks everybody would be happy if Mbappe is allowed to go after winning the Champions League.

“I think Mbappé, he will always have the right opportunity,” said Djorkaeff. “Now he’s on a project. He’s starting his 4th in Paris, he’s a young player. I don’t see him staying at PSG for 10 years. His future is to win titles on all continents, something few French people have done. Last year he had a great opportunity for the Champions League. Unfortunately, he didn’t. This year he will still have the opportunity. The ideal is that he wins it and that behind it he signs in a big club. Everyone will be happy.” he added.
